Club Assistant volunteers are 6th formers from Wycombe High School, John Hampden, Royal Grammer School and Wycombe Abbey School.

The initial induction is held in each school during the Spring Term.

This is followed by working with the children and outgoing Assistants, under the guidance of a Horizon Tutor and section Coach during  the Spring and Summer terms - the final selection for assistants takes place in the Summer term.

Assistants attend a Sports Coach UK course for 'Working with disabled sports people’.   They commit for up to two years and on leaving they attend a  farewell presentation evening where they are presented with a reference and certificate from President Dr Lady Ann Redgrave and Club Founder and Chairman Anita Templar.
