Horizon is a recreational club which helps to assist the development of children, both physically and socially, through sport and recreation.
The Horizon Sports Club is a club for children from 5 to 16 years, who attend Special Schools or schools with special units within the Wycombe District.
We currently offer coaching in five sports, athletics, gymnastics, tennis, football and swimming.
The club was set up in November 1998 with backing and support of parents. Special Olympics UK gave a start up grant and other bodies supporting the club include:
- English Federation of Disability Sport
- Social Services
- Education Authority
- Disability Sport England
- Health Authority
To promote the childrens development we are fortunate enough to offer a one to one class ratio of assistants to children during the 12 week term.
