All classes are headed by qualified governing body coaches and assisted by up to 12 student assistants on a one to one basis with the children.
The assistants are trained with Horizon training courses which also includes ongoing mentoring. In addition, all assistants attend a Sports Coach UK course and How to Coach Disabled Sports People in Sport.

Class 1
A second skills class was set up - 3 girls and 7 boys in September ’07 also coached by Graham Malcolm
and Marion Llyon
Class 2
This class has developed well over the last 5 years and are now very competent in their skills and techniques.
Many of them use these classes as preparation and training for Athletic competitions and gives them experience and confidence in their school games and PE
Youth Swimming Thursday 5.30 – 6.15pm
These classes, held at Wycombe Abbey, are very popular. We currently have 10 members coached by Jeanette Chippington and Rachel Sim who, with Wycombe Abbey Sixth Form girls, help to develop swimmers. Grades are available to those who wish to take them.
Gymnastics and Indoor Athletics Tuesday 4.00pm and 5.00pm
Recreational classes from 6 yrs to 11yrs. These are remedial classes for children with varied special needs and have a one – one assistance. They are equipped to encourage sporting and communication skills. Both sections work to develop hand eye co-ordination, bi-lateral interaction, special awareness and address many other disorders a child may need help with. The Gymnastic and Athletic sections are headed by Anita Templar and Julia Rudland and is designed to encourage basic sporting skills.
Tennis Thursday 4.15 – 5.00pm
Tennis coach Hilary Evans is ably assisted by volunteers, Ann Herbert, Peter Dodds and Carole Hunt. This section has had far reaching results for the 9 – 10 year olds. They will have come initially through Gymnastics or Athletics and have learned their basic skills and are then ready to move on to rules, structure and experience in readiness for the secondary school experience.
Junior Swimming Wednesday 6.30 -7.15pm
Junior swimming is to give the more timid and challenging child water and general confidence. In time, each child is encouraged to move to land skills and, if chooses, to Youth Swimming or Football at a later date
